Three New Projects

I'm prepping and packing for an upcoming weekend sewing retreat. My 3 projects will be:

Merry Mayhem's Mystery Quilt #136, posted on January 1, 2014. I'm missing one more anvil block! Then I will move on to the setting squares. These are some of my favorite Jo Morton fabrics.

Our Little Women group is working through Lori Smith's Fat Quarter quilting. The January challenge is the Baskets 30s style quilt above. I'm thinking red and white fabrics?

I'm working on the Pinwheels in my Garden quilt for the March challenge. I'm using Lori's color scheme of pink and brown because my brain can't take anything more taxing than that right now!

And if I receive my package of Grants Park fabrics from Fat Quarter quilting, I hope to work on another project. I purchased 5 charm packs at my local quilt shop, but they did not have any yardage to go with it. It just seemed to spring-y and fresh! Love the soft blue and taupe combination.

Oh my Goodness!

Hello friends and fellow quilt lovers,

I have been away from my blogging world for several months and will explain all in an upcoming post. In the meantime, I am aghast that my blog wallpaper has disappeared and just went to check in with Lee Lou Blogs...seems they all went away in November while I was having a life crises. Suffice to say I am trying to figure out how to get a new background for you all.

I have been collecting some quilting-related photos and will get back to you as soon as possible. I have truly missed being a part of all of your lives, and look forward to sharing some more of mine with you asap. In the meantime, our Little Women group has started a new year with Lori Smith's book "Fat Quarter Quilting." She has a really big fan on pinterest, you can check out some of her quilts here:

It's good "to be back" and I look forward to being with you again soon.

Warm Quilted hugs to you from Mary in Virginia
