More Kindred Spirits

Here are our "Chasing Friends" quilts from our March Show and Tell of the Kindred Spirits Quilt Club. The star in the center of the block is called a Friendship Star, and the flying geese do seem to be chasing each other around the block! What a clever name for this pattern combination.

The two quilts below are mine. I made the pattern as described, which resulted in the bottom small wall hanging. I liked the pattern so much, I made one for my mother. The block is larger and set longer rather than square to make a table runner. Mom has moved to a retirement home (she just had her 96th Birthday!) and has a small dropleaf table. This table runner reverses to a beautiful fall fabric. I love 2-for-1 projects, don't you! Several years ago, I made her a Christmas table runner that reverses to a beautiful fabric with sea shells all over it (Mom lives in Florida).

I liked the floral table runner so much I had to make one for myself.
Beautiful soft florals---especially with blue are some of my favorite fabrics;
and warm Civil War colors---also some of my favorites!

I hope you enjoyed my little quilt show! Peace and blessings to you and yours.
And till next time, Keep Stitchin!

Kindred Spirits Quilt Club

The Kindred Spirits Quilt Club had their monthly meeting at Stitch by Stitch Quilt Shop in Chesterfield Virginia. The gals really went all out with projects and show and tell this month! Here's a sampling of what was shown:

This project is called "Pinwheel Puzzle."
The pattern came in two different sizes, and we had a sampling of both of them. Pam, our director in charge of creativity, made a tote bag out of a large block.  This pattern was featured in Quilts and More magazine.

More in a few days!
Till then, Keep Stitchin!
