Kindred Spirits--April 2016

Our Kindred Spirits group met April 9, and as usual we had a wonderful show and tell. This is Tammy's progress on "Chasing Friends." She "upsized" the block. Her favorite color is purple!

Below is Pam's progress on our Row-by-Row challenge. It's a Moda Bake Shop freebie called "Trifle Dish."

Anne is making progress on her first row of the Trifle Dish. She added her own challenge to our challenge--to use up some old nicely aged Christmas fabrics from her stash.

Here is my progress on our Trifle Dish quilt (below). For some reason, I just didn't like the row of hearts, so I substituted a block that EQ calls "Frayed Four Patch." (top row) That block measures 8" square. I have to sew that row together, and add the sashing strips.

Here are a few leftover photos from March that I forgot to post! Here are some misc. projects the girls brought in to share. Minis, not-so-mini, embroidery, a hanky envelope, and a few lap size quilts were shown. I'm always amazed at the diverse talent in our little group.

That's it for now! Hope you enjoyed our little quilt show. Stay tuned for more, and till next time, Keep Stitchin!
Mary
